Sponsors for Educational Opportunity (SEO) is a National non-profit organization in the education sector
The challenge - The team’s presenting goals: working cohesively; identifying barriers to collaboration; improving team culture and transparency.
What we did - In monthly team coaching sessions, we worked to Identify and affirm individual strengths to build trust and improve each member's ability to be open with each other about what was working (and what was not). As a group, we identified barriers to collaboration and facilitated group ideation for improved workflows. In our team coaching, we focused on individual and team purpose and developed team guiding principles.
“The CFW team guided us through a staff transition and helped our young and growing team focus on the value of our collaboration and the strengths we all bring to the group. As a result, we are healthier, happier, and more focused on our collective goals.”
-Carolyn Conover, Director of Marketing & Communications, Sponsors for Educational Opportunities
Bluberi is a PE-owned, fast-growth stage company in the casino gaming industry
The challenge: The top leaders are all high-performers operating in an extremely fast-changing, high-expectation environment that also embraces the effectiveness of consistent coaching. Each leader (VP-, SVP, and C-Suite) needs to consistently show up as their best selves, inspire their teams to perform at a high level every day, and communicate effectively across the leadership team for maximum efficiency and productivity to reach the company's formidable goals.
What we did: In individual coaching engagements with multiple leaders, we provided co-active coaching targeting challenges in role transition as well as leadership challenges through rapid growth. Leadership coaching topics included: enhancing leadership presence and communication, improving interpersonal relationships and emotional intelligence, setting and communicating a strategic vision, and developing, motivating & aligning team members.
“As executives at Bluberi, we’re all in these big jobs in a rapidly growing fast-changing organization, and individual executive coaching has helped each of us unlock things about ourselves that, ultimately, enable us to work better together as a team. It's also helpful to share a coaching language, because so many of us see the same person, and we know we have that shared reference point as we work through things. The result feels like 1+1=3--we're greater than the sum of our parts.”
-Steve Kohon, Chief Operating Officer, Bluberi
